Due to air later this year, Brendan joins a distinguished hosting team led by historian Neil Oliver who has hosted many of the UK series. The series is currently in post production so stay tuned for what is going to a very anticipated tv event.

Brendan was invited by Cape York Initiatives to be part of the Judging Panel for The Pride of Place Best Garden in the Village Awards. Over three days, Brendan and the fellow judges viewed and judged over 35 gardens in four communities – Mossman Gorge, Aurukun, Coen and Hope Vale.

Check out the The Rocks 2012 Alternative Xmas Tree designed by Brendan Moar and then built and installed by his team in Late November.
Commissioned and funded by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, the tree was in place for 6 weeks and given that it incorporated so much plant material it had to not only survive but thrive.
The tree, a play on the traditional fir xmas tree, had a ‘green’ interior created by over 150 trailing Rhipsalis.
The outer layer was made up of over 200metres of bent and curved aluminum pipe that appeared to float, an interpretation of tinsel. Planted into the pipe were hundreds of succulents and attached to the pipe were hundreds of stainless steel pot scourers. The plants and scourers represented the decorations adorning the tree.
The top of the tree was crowned with a large sphere covered with copper and stainless steel scourers – the silver creating a 6 pointed ‘star’ amongst the copper.

Very nervously Brendan returned to the stage in December 2011 joining Trevor Ashley, Tara Morice and Lisa Adam for the hysterical adults only panto Fat Swan.
After three sell out seasons, two in Sydney and one in Melbourne, Fat Swan came back and fatter than ever – it returned to Melbourne in September and is coming to Brisbane in November and playing at Brisbane Powerhouse. www.brisbanepowerhouse.org/events/view/fat-swan/
